Master Content Mill List

I found a Google site that has a Master Content Mill List. Content mills are great eggs to have when you don't have any private client work. I have a few mills I work for on a regular basis.

Content mills are also great for individuals who are just starting out in their freelance writing career. I got my start with Yahoo! and I am extremely grateful to them for that. In fact, I still earn a nice residual income from the articles I wrote for them.

Just to let you know, I don't earn a penny from telling you about this list. I just thought it was a helpful resource and wanted to share it with anyone in need.

So here you go:

PS. I noticed a few of the links are outdated, but there is still a ton of information here. I guess the author just adds to the list without checking old links.

Writers Domain is Hiring

I just started working for Writers Domain. They are hiring new writers right now, so I suggest you apply without delay before they close their doors.

First, you should know that the pay is on the low side. When I decide to take a job, I look at the hourly wage. I'll give you an example. Let's say company A is paying $10 for a 500 word article, but they require a great deal of research and reference links. One article takes you an hour to do, leaving your hourly wage at $10. Now company B pays $3 for 200 word articles and requires no research, so you are able to get done 6 in an hour. That means you'll be making $18 an hour, which is an acceptable wage.

Second, I want to let you know that this company does require you to submit a 200 word sample article. Normally, I don't do sample articles because most companies will accept a link to your previous work. I made an exception for this company due to the many glowing reviews I got from other writers.

Third, be prepared to take a quick grammar quiz. You have to pass in order to write for Writer's Domain, but I found the quiz quite easy and you are allowed to take it twice if you don't do well the first time.

Finally, the hiring process is very fast. It only took 24 hours for me to hear back from the company that I was accepted. Here is a link to Writers Domain's website: Writers Domain
