Become an Editor for BellaOnline

BellaOnline is currently accepting applications to some of their established sites. Sorry, they aren't adding any new categories just yet, but if you are passionate about any of the available topics, I highly suggest you apply. You can see a list of available topics here: BellaOnline Available Topics

I am currently in training as their Healthy Foods Editor, and I am loving this company. I should mention that you do not get paid to contribute at BellaOnline, however, you are allowed to earn affiliate income.

This company is excellent if you desire to learn more about writing online and there is a great deal of training to help you. The training is broken down into lessons that are easy to follow and understand, which is perfect for beginners. I'm not a beginner, and I'm still learning plenty of things that I didn't know.

Another thing I like about BellaOnline is that they truly care about their editors and want their editors to succeed. They ask the editors if there is any aspect of writing and publishing they want to learn, and then they provide that information.

I can't wait until I finish with my training so that I can show you my site. Until then, you can learn more about becoming a BellaOnline Editor here: Overview - Become a BellaOnline Editor

PS. I don't make a dime for telling you about this company. I'm doing so because I truly believe in the company and found it to be an excellent avenue for any writers out there.

Writers Domain is Hiring

I just started working for Writers Domain. They are hiring new writers right now, so I suggest you apply without delay before they close their doors.

First, you should know that the pay is on the low side. When I decide to take a job, I look at the hourly wage. I'll give you an example. Let's say company A is paying $10 for a 500 word article, but they require a great deal of research and reference links. One article takes you an hour to do, leaving your hourly wage at $10. Now company B pays $3 for 200 word articles and requires no research, so you are able to get done 6 in an hour. That means you'll be making $18 an hour, which is an acceptable wage.

Second, I want to let you know that this company does require you to submit a 200 word sample article. Normally, I don't do sample articles because most companies will accept a link to your previous work. I made an exception for this company due to the many glowing reviews I got from other writers.

Third, be prepared to take a quick grammar quiz. You have to pass in order to write for Writer's Domain, but I found the quiz quite easy and you are allowed to take it twice if you don't do well the first time.

Finally, the hiring process is very fast. It only took 24 hours for me to hear back from the company that I was accepted. Here is a link to Writers Domain's website: Writers Domain

Bubblews: A Promising New Revenue Share Site

I have a writer friend that just introduced me to Bubblews. This site is a revenue share site, meaning you won't make any money upfront for your work. Instead, Bubblews will pay you for each unique view, like, comment and social media share. Unlike other rev share sites, Bubblews splits its profits 50/50.

My friend stated she was seeing an average $13 earnings for every 1000 page views. I only get $2 for this many page views over at Yahoo!

What I like best about this site is that you can submit old articles and link to where they are originally being held (so long as you retain the rights to the articles). If you wish to create fresh content, your posts only have to be a total of 400 characters (that's characters not words).

I am excited about the potential this website holds. Before I leave you, I should also let you know that you can cash-out every time you reach a total of $25.

Update: I have cash-out twice and can vouch that Bubblews does indeed pay their users so long as all of the rules are followed. I am really loving this site!

Write for Textbroker

Textbroker is a great writing company to get started with. I have personally worked for them with excellent results.

Signing up for Textbroker is as easy as providing your name and email address. Textbroker will then ask for a short article. Normally, I don't like doing sample articles for people when I have plenty of online samples they can review, but it is worth it if you are new to the field. Your article will be graded with either a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. In my experience the company almost always starts writers out with a 3.

Your number determines which pool of article titles you can choose from. Obviously, the higher your number, the higher you get paid per word. It only took me 4 articles before the company bumped me up to a level 4.

What I like about Textbroker is that you get to choose which titles you want to write. The rates are also clearly displayed so there is no guessing about what you will be paid.

Once you've proven yourself, you can try to join some Teams. TeamOrders usually pay more per word. You may also get a DirectOrder from a client if he likes previous work you've completed.

Paypal is the designated form of payment. Paypal will pay weekly, but you have to remember to request payout.

Swagbucks

I joined Swagbucks when they first started out. I didn't do too much with it except promote the site. I got bored with the website I guess because I stopped visiting it.

Today I had an article come up for a company I work for. It jogged my memory about the website, so I decided to see if I could log in. Sure enough, my old email and password worked.

To my surprise I had over 8,000 Swag Bucks sitting in my account. I was able to get a $50 Amazon gift card, and a few $5 Paypal payments.

There are plenty of prizes and gift cards you can request with your points, and the site is free to use and earn points with. The main way you earn points is through using their search engine instead of Google's. You can also earn point by shopping, taking survey's, recycling old cell phones and liking the website on Facebook.

Anyway, I know this doesn't have anything to do with writing, but I wanted to share it since it is a great way to earn free stuff.

PS. It is a BBB Accredited Business.

CloudCrowd

Just found another great site for writers called CloudCrowd. Signing up in simple, but the company works through a Facebook app so you must have a Facebook account to apply. That being said, the company pay is fair. Best of all, you get paid daily (24 hours after your work is approved).

After you sign-up, you need to take the tests that are available. The instructions are clear, and the tests are not lengthy. Once the tests are reviewed, you will be able to claim work.

You can get paid to:

*Write article content
*Write press releases
*Edit
*Find URL's for articles
*Find URL's for definitions

Photos for Your Articles

BigStockPhotos is a great resource for writers who need to add royalty free photos to their articles, websites, or blog posts.

Stock Photos, Royalty Free Stock Photography, Photo Search

These photos are high quality. I like this site much better than photo sites like Flickr, because I have to get permission from photographers on that site to use the image. This takes time, whereas all of the photos on BigStockPhoto are available without any further request for permission.
